Destroying govt records is a crime. And destroying evidence that you believe could be evidence is a bigger crime.

Here is a person who has been practicing law 30 years. 4 years as the top officer in the nation. And he has the audacity to bring to the nation testimony of which he has no evidence.

I tell you, it is perfectly normal to impeach an elected president based upon a document that no one has actually seen, has no evidentiary chain of custody, and describes actions which are not crimes.
Is this true, because no one in an important position who made an important memo for important reasons, would delete the memo and then rely on it to impeach a president.
Just call him “BleachBit” Comey.
We were told again and again that this memo was highly credible because it contained so many details that Comey included.

Or, why does everyone assume that the document is Holy Writ? I have had my supervisors ask me, “Did you document such and such?” My response has always been that I can tell the truth about the incident now, or lie in writing just after it happened.
If this is true then the conclusion many of us had the other night is true: there was never any memo. It was just a narrative device. Comey is so stupid he included an unnecessary detail just to spice up the story without even bothering to create evidence to verify it.
.... and that Comey typed at least one of them on his laptop as soon as he got into his government car outside Trump Tower. Did I misread that? Maybe someone advised Comey of the several ways he was in trouble with the law. Was Comey’s prehearing written “opening statement” admitted into testimony in such a way as to make it under oath? Were his choices lying under oath or possible Arkanside?

This doesn't sound like a means to preserve his memory of events. It sounds like a premeditated decision to manufacture evidence on the spot - the modern equivalent of a drop gun or of planting drugs on a suspect. The idea of the FBI director not keeping an electronic or paper copy of an accurate and critical memo he wrote is absurd.
I have heard better lies from kids. Didn’t I read about a book deal for Comey? Why would he delete his best writing materials?
