After seeing interview with MKLaT years ago, I concluded that she was emotionally immature to a dramatic degree, and that the student/husband was emotionally MATURE — in affect and personality — to an equally proportionate degree. I'm not for a moment defending this woman; I'm just explaining what the dynamic was. When he was 12 years old, he had the personality of a 22 year old, while, when she was 32, she had the personality of a teenager. That's how they “clicked”. Bizarre, sick, illegal, of course.

When I saw the pair interviewed on Barbara Walters a few years ago, the kid/now adult/husband seemed profoundly depressed.
