I lost a 17-year-old one-eyed cat about 1½ months ago. He was not like the son I never had, though; he was a cat.

I lost my cat Abigail a little over a year ago. I had been working away from home for a year and had just returned after retiring. I remember sitting down on the sofa and she layed on the sofa arm and put her left paw on my thigh. Very special moment. She died 2 days later. I’ve been blessed with great pets but she was the best.
