17 years old - old enough to make the decision to murder across states with his “friend”. How many did he kill (that we know of)?

I recall reading that Hillary Clinton pressured the county to hire a black person when they did the job search that resulted in Chief Moose getting the job. Apparently there were code phrases in the messages he had received from the killers that made it pretty clear that the killers were black, but he ignored that evidence while more people were killed.

The killers specifically targeted white people to kill. Did that figure in the judge's decision to be nice to Malvo?
