To: Kid Shelleen

I clearly remember where I lived, and what I did at that time.

My new girlfriend’s dad helped me get a much needed job. I was working, and listening to records like this in a nice apartment after work.

Within weeks, we would be engaged. Now 49 years later, we’ve been married for 49 good years.

I remember playing Sgt. Pepper one fine Saturday afternoon, full volume in my dorm room, and another guy was playing it down the hall (not in sync, of course). Dummies in the neighboring dorm were screaming about having to study!

A magic time!

But that wasn't my favorite album of that era. That would be The Jefferson Airplane's After Bathing at Baxter's.
