Both Electric Ladyland and Band of Gypsys were far better.
Electric Ladyland I liked a lot. Band of Gypsies? Didn’t like it. I felt the freshness and excitement were gone. Experience was a shot out of the blue! A friend worked at the big record store in Milwaukee and they got an advance copy,,, and they all hated it! My friend brought it to me cuz he knew I liked electronic music and Jeff Beck’s wildness and the Kinks unsuppressed R&R violence. I went nutz! “You mean we’re allowed to do this?” Changed my guitar-playing life! But I play pedal steel now.
