Ice skaters must be similar. My first wife was with John Hancock so we got to dine with their ice skating professionals, all people you’ve heard of. They were invariably tiny, except for Elvis Stojko.
I’ve seen Elvis Stojko perform in person the last two years, as he ended up in a small-time ice show put on at a local theme park, Busch Gardens-Williamsburg. Still a pretty amazing skater, even at his age.
And a fantastic and cheerful performer.
Ice Skaters have to be small and keep their weight down, especially now since there is so much emphasis on jumps. You can’t do that and be heavy....or tall.
