I haven’t (and won’t) watch either one, but speaking to exorcists recently (after writing about them before) has made me realize something about this phenomenon: Satan is pornography’s biggest fan. Why?
First, Satan loves pornography because he hates freedom.
When we renew our baptismal promises the Church asks: “Do you reject Satan, so as to live in the freedom of God’s children?”
To use pornography is to say: “I do not.” Pornography militates against freedom. The science of it is well known: The human brain, when aroused by erotic images, dumps chemicals into the bloodstream that push the throttle of the viewer to full-speed “give me more” mode. Idle online curiosity quickly becomes addictive obsession.
Dabbling with pornography is like opening the window of a pressurized airplane at a high altitude. It pulls you in and spits you out.
The same thing happens to women involved in the pornography industry. Women seeking modeling careers, or a brief injection of cash in tough times, quickly find themselves in the clutches of a degrading industry, with images of themselves that they regret circulating forever online.
A recent pornography scam is not unlike what happens anyway to “legitimate” pornographic actresses: Lured by money, they find themselves in the clutches of men who only want to use them.
Which is a second reason Satan loves pornography: It is the ultimate structure of sin.
When we lie, or cheat, or steal, we commit a sin that implicates each of us, alone. When we involve others in our sin, that’s worse. But what about a sin that helps create, perpetuate and supercharge international syndicates of sin?..."

Interesting perspective. I have nothing to do with any form of porn myself. However, I’ve always been quite libertarian on it, for others, EXCEPT FOR CHILD PORN. You really presented a rational and reasonable argument to stay away from much of it. I would say that a good person keeps his use of it to a minimum and he doesn’t create it or put his woman on tape.
Where do you get that?

Your basic premise is fine, but it ignores reality.
In the days of the bible most women were married between 14 and 16, men 15 to 18. One to 2 years of sexual maturity and they had problems with shepherds. We have an economic system where most young adults do not have the ability to get married for about a decade to a decade and a half after they reach sexual maturity, the exact years their libidos are at peak.
Asking for complete abstinence/chastity to the point of no sexual activity at all for 10 to 15 years is completely unrealistic for young adult men (and most young women I suspect). That is the way men are built, it is actually unhealthy to have excessive “back-up”. Hydrostatic pressure assures something is going to happen, and what is pornographic changes as the level of back-up increases. Bikini ads will be highly pornographic to a man who has not had some kind of release in over a week. Heck his thoughts will be.
so you are left with:
1) Random sex with willing partners
2) paid Prostitutes
3) massage parlors that feature “happy endings”.
4) Masturbation (The primary use of porn I suspect).
5) Coerced sex of some sort.
6) Some kind of other weird outlet(homo, animals, other.)
Not approving of any of the above, but pointing out reality, which makes me wonder how sinful either # 3 or # 4 is. We live in a fallen world, all miss the mark to some degree and to define sin as something that is more or less going to happen, well that is plain silly. It is like saying defecation is sinful, guess what, that will not change it but just make a bunch of folks feel bad.

Wow. If your observations are true that is scary. I will say that in my observations most men do use porn to some extent, whether married or not. Many watch it with their significant other. These are all successful college educated professionals. I retired a few years ago after 20+ years in the military and can attest that porn use is rampant. Didn’t make them any less of a warrior.
I also find it interesting that rape rates have dropped tremendously since the 80s, while at the same time access to porn has skyrocketed. I know that correlation is not causation but it does seem they may be related.
No saint but not satan.
Thing about porn is it distorts and destroys what sex is all about.
Anyone show’s seen enough of it knows it’s about degrading women and addicting you until you need more and more depraved acts to get one aroused.
And you dont even want sex with your wife anymore. Just one more hit of porn.

I wouldn’t think that that sort of thing rises to the level of pornography. I mean, the Vatican is full of equally stylized butt-nekkid paintings too. If a cartoon drawing of bomber personified as a girl gives someone trouble, they have more problems than society is responsible for stepping around. JMHO.
Lots of people have. Just not the end-consumer (unless it spurs them on to inadvisable actions that result in burning pee).
Men's porn serves to arouse men's sexual feelings, and has the by-product of making them less satisfied with any of the real women in their lives.
Women's porn does the same thing, allowing women to indulge in fantasies about some unattainable "perfect" dream man, to the point of lessening their ability to be satisfied with any real-world men around them.
So does women's promiscuity, hopping into the beds of "exciting" men, who would only bother being with them as long as "no strings" sex is offered, thus making them unsatisfied with the set of men who would actually be open to marrying them.
