I’m of a mind that too much of anything is bad for us. Based on my personal experience as medicinal user & my observations of people I’ve known who’ve used cannabis daily for decades, none of these “claims” stand up.
I’ve experienced the opposite of what you & warrdaddy describe in every way. I’m much more motivated to accomplish goals & such than I ever was while under the anvil of depression/anxiety. The quality of my work has improved & I have new projects lined up to tackle after this year’s batch are completed. I’m much more active now & even play bass for the 10am Mass group. Something I would never have done prior to Feb 2015.
I even LOST 75 lbs while using cannabis. So much for the “all stoners get the munchies” thing, doesn’t it?
Do I believe some people experience what you describe? Certainly. People with addictive personalities should’t be using cannabis or any other mood altering drug. Same for people who are unable to set limits for themselves.
Well, OK. You’re the expert after two years. Do what you think is best. Never mind the words of someone who has had off and on issues with depression and anxiety all his life, much as you describe yourself.
Carry on. I’ll have no more to say on this matter.
