It’s going to be a good day. NOTHING could make me sign up for Facebook.
(I could read the Facebook site on my smart phone, but it was greyed out on my PC — no matter what browser I used. ????)

If anything should be a reminder about the need for regular donations these last few days should be it.
I think we can all agree, with a few exceptions, that the Facebook site was a pale comparison. It’s not that FR has more features (it doesn’t) but as a community we have more autonomy, more freedom here.
Facebook (or any blog hosting site really) can, at any time, revoke any site Jim Robinson (or anyone) sets up, for any reason. Also, much harder to keep sleeper trolls concern trolls and otherwise assorted miscreants under control on a site like Facebook.
But it’s really about freedom from the powers that seek to control and curtail conservative thought. Anyone who thinks Facebook is welcoming to the ideas expressed here is deluded. It would only be a matter of time before they’d shut FR on Facebook down.
If you are using Chrome or Firefox, it’s still OK. Jim posted about this some time back and said we are still secure.
Anything interesting happen in the news while we were down?
