Click on the speaker icon, click mixer. Check your volumes, emphasis on the S, since each app can be controlled individually.

also remember the speakers probably have their own volume control. And if you go into Control Panel, Sounds, properties of your speaker, Levels tab there’s MORE volume control.

It’s amazing how many different ways there are to accidentally turn your speakers off.

Right Click on Speaker Icon
Select Playback Devices
Be sure bluetooth speaker is active and selected
If you right click you can see options...

If Bluetooth is not showing then check box to show disconnected/disabled devices.

You can test speakers from this window.

Every time the Windows 10 update appears on my screen, I push the snooze button to send it away. I got out of windows 10 after it showed up like a virus on my system one day. It was awful.

I'm running W10 but it should be the same.

Go to Control Panel and then Device Manager.

Click on the little symbol next to Bluetooth. If there are no yellow or red warning sign that means it is probably something simple.

Check to make sure volume is turned up and not muted.

Did you reboot after the updates?

It could be you need to check or reinstall your Bluetooth driver.

I'm no expert that those are some starting points.

You may need to go to the bluetooth speaker manufacturer web site and get their latest driver for your OS.

This is going to get ugly.

You indicate you purchased a new speaker, to no avail. Have you considered purchasing a new PC?

It reminds my of the guy who stuck his fingers in his snow blower because it got jammed. He was surprised to see the tip of his finger come off. Using that logic, he's lucky he didn't stick his head in, instead. You say,"That's crazy. Why would he stick his head in there?"

I say, "For exactly the same reason he would stick his hand in there."

Now you know.

Can you do a system restore to a date before the latest updates were installed?

Check the speaker icon in YouTube, had it get muted once when I did an update.

System tray lower right, right click speaker icon, choose “playback devices”, look in the list to see if Bluetooth device is listed.
If not, you will need to reconfigure it.
If it is, you have to select it and then check settings.

It’s still capable of working, just some config problem.

Right click on the windows icon in the lower left to left click on ‘mobility center’. Bluetooth is an option and you should be able to get the solution from there.

Yur welcome.

Now for a language lesson:
Don’t say “walla”. Makes you sound like you are from the backwoods of coyote country.
Use instead “Voila!”.
It’s Francais. It means basically “See there!!”
