I hope Trump likes the A team concept. Bring in the Best and the Brightest and Charge!

That’s a tough one.

I like Sheriff Joe to handle it but age has caught him.

I do know I do not want Clarke in there. That job would destroy him. This is a highly charged political environment.
He is best where PC doesn’t reign.

I would go with Rudy if his health is good.

I like your list, except Clarke doesn’t have anywhere near the necessary kind of experience to be successful in this position, even though I love the guy to pieces.

The others have all been big-time Federal prosecutors along with substantial other law enforcement backgrounds prior to those appointments. Rudy and Chris of course also have big-time bureaucratic administrative experience.

People here hate Chris Christie, but as FBI director I think he’d be hell on wheels, as would Trey Gowdy. Rudy would be good too, but Rudy is 72, and I would think a younger man would have more energy and more need to make his mark.

I’m old enough to remember the Clarence Thomas hearings. Sheriff Clark would be treated similarly and his being black would not protect him.

He ran for POTUS against Obama.
My mind is a blank.

Well said. You’re in good company with many who’ve been in the same situation.

Thank you! It just feels good not to be manipulated by the “left” anymore. I feel like he has earned my loyalty instead of the way dems just blindly give it. :)

"no one listed on this thread would be my choice."

I kinda like the idea of Sheriff Clarke. He'd be a fish out of water, but he'd be just the type to boot some butts.

Sometimes tossing a big spanner into the gears is just what the machine requires. Sorta like Trump being POTUS. $:-)

If the dems were pushing for him to be a Justice, they must have something on him. I keep going back to the notion that they only seem to nominate people who they can control.

I want a quiet professional without the burden of celebrity status .... Clarke is great but not my first pick
