There is some truth to the claim of health care quality in France. When you look at certain things you can tell. One is mortality from stroke
When you die of a stroke, part of the problem is genetic, sociological, cultural (eating habits) but a big part of it is how quickly you get good treatment. You must get a CAT scan right away. In some cases you must have exceptionally difficult surgery requiring high skill. The reason that so many people die of stroke in the UK is that they simply do not have the surgeons because they don't want to pay them.
