A British American told me that he regularly made doctor’s appointments for family. They’d fly in, have the appointment or tests and then stay with him if they needed treatment. He said, (approximately) “if you have blood in your stool, for example, it will take weeks to get an appointment. Then, the follow up appointment will be so far in the future that if it’s a critical problem that needs immediate attention, you will be too far gone by the time your next appointment arrives. The British medical establishment has been killing off Britain’s by the thousands with policies like these. Here, you can be diagnosed and treated in the same week.”
Friend of a friend had breast cancer. Could not get appointment for many months. When they discovered her treatment, her age and the fact that that treatment’s annual amount had already been allocated....so she died.
Her husband said later had he brought her to America, she might have lived. This was around 2004.
A friend, worked and lived in London for many years.Thought he would save on health insurance, with it being ‘free’.
His coworkers quickly disabused him of any such thoughts.
Have a friend who found blood while going to the bathroom.
Within two weeks he was set up for chemo, radiation, got a bunch of tests to help direct the radiation to a very precise area, and docs are 90 percent optimistic the colon cancer will be gone either by just these treatments or the removal of whatever is left by the end of six weeks treatment.
I dont hear about that happening in Europe.
Except in the VA. 8-(
Brit’s have an extremely high cancer death rate. Highest in the industrialized nations They ration health care to the elderly. (Medicare, according to E.R. docs I know, we are starting do this here.)
I was told you can wait for a WEEK in an E.R. in the
U.K.
Medicine is going corporatist therefore CRAPITOLIST. Crony capitalist.
Inside the beltway corruption is way, way over the top. We snoozed and we loosed.
