No....

Their was an old Reaganite ( I can't remember his name ) on Fox Biz yesterday and he spelled it out.

* He noted, PDJT need momentum, and this would have killed it.
* It is better to get some runs on the board, i.e. O-Care Replacement and Tax Reform, then go for a Fall Shutdown.
* Then he has Leverage with the Senators, look, with these 2 bills the economy is rebounding, do you really want to go into re-election against my budget with things improving?

My take on that? Mitch has to go full Nuclear all the time, this 60 cloture benchmark is a recipe for the UniParty to make PDJT a one termer. Will Mitch do it? I hope so, Ryan is useless, Mitch no so much, but keep your eye on him all the time...

The tax cut leverage? The Blue States loosing their Tax Deductibility of State and local taxes. He will let that go for them giving up sanctuary cities, because most of them are in blue states!

IMHO PDJT knows it is all about GDP, getting so many areas of the Country back to work, making things. Look @ all the Exec-Orders, they were all about changes around the margins to stop bad trade and or make the environment for making things amenable to businesses of all sizes.

One more thing....

Out their is AntiFa, BAMN, BB and they are itching for a fight. Don't give them something to do this Summer, IMHO it is going to be a hot and long one metaphorically, especially after seeing the Construction Worker in Pittsburgh being backed away from Antifa by Cops T'day.

Let's wait for these "chillrehn" (as the Former Surgeon General would have said) are back at College...
