Again, it take more total votes to override a veto than it does to impeach and convict.

They cannot override Trump’s veto if he chooses to employ it. That’s a fallacy.

You THINK they can’t. I think they can. More important I think if he gets into that kind of pissing contest with Congress it’s a losing battle one way or the other. There’s already a lot of people from both parties in Congress that don’t like him, vetoing the budget deal to bring on a “shutdown” (because very little of the government actually shuts down) will just add to the list. They would definitely try to override, and I’d give them a better than 50% chance of succeeding.

So, what’s your name in this race, Celerity? Is it Popeye?

Horses are neat to look at, and I understand that some people can ride on their backs. Saddles cost as much as a nice, used BMW.

Also, something about horses drinking water that’s either too warm or too cold or something that can kill them.

This is the full extent of everything I know about horses. Kentucky is nice though.

Look, Trump just admitted he was a globalist.

Two, Pence on Rush today said “The number one priority of President Trump is to rebuild our military...”
That’s the Deep State & the MIC = The Swamp.

It’s over and all that’s left for many is blame his daughter and Son in Law.

Now, on to WW III. MOAR WOAR!

Yes, Trump should force the Republicans that don’t support him to try that instead of ruining his reputation. We can then make sure those republicans get primaried and kicked out of office. No upside to giving them cover now.

Fine, if they insist on 60 votes, shut the government down until they can agree. No reason why they can’t do it piecemeal. DEfense first, FAA, etc. get the non controversial out of the way. Then let’s fight or even run the clock out on the rest. Skip the omnibus bills.

This is news, it is something to be addressed, else we live with the results. News that Trump rolled.

‘What winning looks like’: Trump gets border wall funds, money for military
Washington Times ^ | May 2, 2017 | By S.A. Miller and Stephen Dinan

The White House insisted Tuesday that the $1 trillion spending bill includes money for 40 miles of border fencing, as President Trump sought to shore up Republican voters by saying the deal also lays the groundwork for rebuilding the military.

The president said there is “enough money to make a down payment on the border wall,” and said a $15 billion boost in defense spending — without having a dollar-for-dollar match in domestic spending — has set a new standard that will benefit Republicans and the Pentagon.

“This is what winning looks like,” Mr. Trump said.

Republicans bristled after Democrats declared victory on the spending bill Monday, saying they had won every major fight by keeping money flowing to Planned Parenthood and sanctuary cities, boosting spending for the National Endowment for the Arts, bailing out Puerto Rico’s troubled Medicaid system, expanding college aid for poor students and preserving the Environmental Protection Agency’s budget.

“We have more money now for the border than we’ve gotten in 10 years,” said Mr. Trump. “The Democrats didn’t tell you that. They forgot

Trump doesn’t write laws...

He said he would build the Wall and he will. I’m frustrated too but no where near as frustrated as Trump is. If Trump felt getting into a ‘knock down drag out’ with Ryan would work, he would do it. He doesn’t think that’s the path - and I agree with him.

Turing about corruption that’s taken over Washington DC is a marathon, not a sprint.
