She was denied nominations for Best Actor.
I enjoyed her in “What’s Up Doc?”, but the I have to say that the supporting cast, for the most part, was superb, especially Madeline Kahn.

When I was a teenager, I had the misfortune of watching “Yentl”. It wasn’t sexism that cost Barbra the Oscar, it was Barbra herself.

Babs should give up her over-the-hill singing and concentrate on being a character actor/actress. There is a long list of big noses in that category, and I'm sure we could come up with some who were even Oscar nominees.

She should take a lesson from Clint Eastwood’s playbook: he took a few light roles to compile enough money to direct the movies he wanted to make. He did a good job on his own films and earned the industry’s grudging support. Now, he’s created a body of work, for himself, that is a credit to him and he is recognized as a wonderful director.
Babs is a pitiful whiner.
This particular grievance is about her not getting nominated for movies she DIRECTED, not for her acting.
