The kidnapped girl lost a lot of weight while in the “care” of the former teacher who abducted her
Alleged kidnapper Tad Cummins remains behind bars for abducting a minor and having illegal sexual relations with her. On top of that, the former teacher is accused of making the teen eat wildflowers for nutrition after he ran out of money.
Jason Whatley, the family lawyer for the Thomas family, said that although 15-year-old Elizabeth Thomas is now home and safe with her family, she’ll need intensive counseling to help her deal with and process the hardships she endured while she was held captive by Cummins, 50, her former health sciences teacher.

Cummins was an authority figure - over three times Thomas’s
age. (In one photo of Cummins’ office, he had a “magical
mysterious” Himalayan salt lamp, for “atmosphere”
evidently.) YOU do not know what sort of threats Cummins
may or may not have made against her family if she refused
to leave with him. - YOU also do not KNOW that Elizabeth
Thomas is a “delinquent”. - YOU have judged her and found
her guilty in YOUR mind.
I’m a resident of Maury County & will most likely be
called up to serve on the jury pool about the time
Cummins should be due for trial. - However, my mind is
evidently more open than yours. A person is INNOCENT in
the eyes of the law UNLESS and UNTIL proven guilty in a
court of law. That includes Cummins AND, most certainly
Elizabeth Thomas as well.
In fact, on the face of it, Tad Cummins appears to be in
DEEP DOO-DOO over his head.
Kid I was just comparing g her behavior and true situation to Elizabeth Smarts since it appears they are making out she is such a victim...
She wasn’t carried off she went willingly...
I would hope you are never on a jury of my peers...it seems you don’t wish to look at the larger picture...
you don’t know that she was threatened...
shes old enough to have told someone on their travels and why didn’t she tell another adult if she was abused at home ???
shes 15, not a baby to be so manipulated by threats...
she had a relationship with him before they left...

That would make sense. As the above poster said using his credit cards would make it easier to track him.
She was not the only sibling abused, 4 others were. Have to wonder if the 5 youngest were, then you know all ten were.
Plus you know how child abuse in a family works, it’s a “dirty little secret” often the kids abused are too ashamed to tell or think that’s normal.
Another thing, was listening to Nancy Grace’s podcasts. This is gonna be a bad strike for homeschoolers but she and her siblings were homeschooled by their wacky mom before she went to this public school and was in contact with this crazy teacher.

Repeat. A PERSON, little TAD CUMMINS included, YOU included,
is INNOCENT BEFORE THE LAW, UNLESS and UNTIL they are PROVEN
GUILTY in a court of law.
Oh, and INCLUDING Elizabeth Thomas. - I would certainly be
willing to look at “the larger picture” IF I come up for
the jury pool in Maury County when TAD is tried before a
court of law. - As her TEACHER, little TAD exercised a
huge control over her.
I’ve a son who is same age as little TAD CUMMINS. My son
has seen his share of troubles and rebellion; so, if
anything, I would more logically be siding with Cummins;
but it seems you’re more than lined up against Elizabeth
Thomas enough to make up for any reticence on my part to
defend Cummins.
Are you in Maury County, Tennessee Nana? If not, it’s a
moot point.
So you are saying a 15 year old can grant consent? Hope you never have a daughter if you think predatory old man in a position of authority over her targeting and grooming your 15 year old is just a relationship of equals.
Or that should she of her own accord decide to act out on her feelings for an older man that that man not be a man but yield to her advances that that man is doing nothing wrong, then I really hope you never are in charge of raising a daughter.
No I am not saying the situation is the same as a forced rape, but don’t think for one minute that that a girl, in either of the situations above is not a victim of an adult who is failing to do what they should.
There are those on FR who are DEMANDING leniency for little
TAD CUMMINS. They want Elizabeth Thomas hung up by the
thumbs for “enticing” the little TADSTER.
I somehow doubt that Elizabeth Thomas will be the one on
trial for this MESS. It’ll most likely be the TADPOLE on
trial in a court of law.
I answer my own posted reply since TN Nana seems tardy
with her most current retort to Twinkie. - My second
cousin, a lawyer in a small town, was caught about 9 or
10 yrs. ago in a sting operation. (He had an “appointment”
for a “tryst” with the two 14 yr. old “daughters” of a
woman from out of town.) Only thing was, the “mother &
two daughters” were policemen doing a sting operation.
- Long story short; this lawyer is in the penitentiary &
will be released in about 9 years, when he is about 85
yrs. old - if he lives that long. - One cousin remarked
that it is where he belongs if that’s what he’s going to
be up to. I have to agree with her. - Little TADSTER is
not currently finding a soft spot in my heart. It’s his
wife & family I feel for. :o(
A note of caution to anyone on FR thinking they’re gonna
set up a date with the “mother” of a “teen” or “teens”.
My advice: Stand in front of a full length mirror first
thing in the morning, before you shave, comb your hair,
brush teeth or any other grooming. - Stand there nekkid as
a jaybird. - Plop your belly out; even belch & fart for
effect. - Ask your reflection, “Self, WHO is going to give
you anything for free today? What teenager is just chomping
at the bit to sell you sex today? - - “ Then, wait for
the answer . . . . . . and wait . . . and wait . . . .
silence . . silence . . . . then remember my cousin in
prison from a sting operation which he very gullibly fell
for . . shaming his daughters (who were the same age as
the fake “teens” their daddy went out of town to meet . .)
- He lost EVERYTHING in this “gamble” - a lucrative career,
his wife, probably his daughters . . for NOTHING but a
prison sentence.
