The wife of the Tennessee teacher who went on the run with his 15-year-old student claims he admitted he's slept with the teen and begged her forgiveness after he was caught.
Jill Cummins, who filed for divorce from Tad Cummins after he ran off with Elizabeth Thomas five weeks ago, said her husband made the confession during a phone call from jail.
Mrs Cummins told Inside Edition she had asked him straight out; 'did you sleep with her?'
'Yes I did,' he replied, according to his wife who said she hadn't wanted to hear any details of their relationship, but she had already known the truth.
'I just wanted to hear it from him to me.'

Except, they're not Baptist. They are Nazarene. Also noticed in some comments made by a different freeper, the poster commented Tad had called Elizabeth his "3rd daughter". That's incorrect. Tad's wife knew Elizabeth well and she's the one who used to call Elizabeth their "3rd daughter". In the very few interviews I've seen with Tad's wife, she doesn't seem overly distraught by the ramifications. She merely stated in one tv interview that it was a mentor-student relationship that got out of hand. I would have expected Mrs. Cummins to be livid and calling him an s.o.b., bastard, m-f'er, or any number of things. Nope, she seemed pretty blase about the whole thing. However, she was upset he took her suv and left her his manual transmission Jeep. She doesn't know how to drive a stick shift. Apparently, she had zero interest in learning and is quite content being the helpless "little woman".

Actually, Cummins’ wife looked a lot like Elizabeth when she
was young. Up side of Cummins (who is the COW in this
instance) she still looks pretty nice.
I *may be coming up for jury duty about the time he faces
trial in Maury County. He is innocent UNTIL and UNLESS
proven GUILTY in a court of law. - I hope they retire me
this go around. The last time I served, I was past retire-

Did he have sex with her or did he just sleep with her? It’s a YUGE difference.
If it was sex, who initiated it? Was it a reward for rescuing her away from her terrible home environment where her mother beat her and locked her in the basement?
Was she really kidnapped or was it her own idea to escape and the teacher was her way out?
She may have actually kidnapped HIM, in a way.
I’m NOT siding with this guy. I’m just not willing to give this girl a free pass.
He was WRONG. What he did was illegal. He’ll probably spend the rest of his life in prison because he let a 15 year old manipulate him.
Obviously, I don’t know how much she was involved in the crime, but why assume she is totally innocent?
I’ll bet she’s NOT!
