Trump proposed the same idea many times during his campaign. Ted just trying to be relevant. I don’t see any folks in Congress jumping up and down in agreement with Cruz....cuz it’s the President’s prerogative to start with...
He is. The dems and the backstabbing 'pub elite are getting way too entrenched in setting the agenda on some of the big issues. The result....getting the Deplorable agenda in place.....is way more important than the Art of the Deal.
In foreign affairs "the deal" approach is a welcome change. But the DC crowd? They're out-of-control arrogant bought and paid for swamp things. With them, President Trump shouldn't deal. He should out-maneuver them and govern.
Screw Congresss...sell personalized bricks to raise money & resources for the wall....and Americans will buy millions and millions and millions.
It’s easier to attack Trump thinking if they yell hard enough, it will remove the congress of RINOs and NeverTrump idiots that Levin sided with last year, out of the equation.
Sorry, this is on Trump, it was the #1 plank of his platform. I paid attention to what he was saying over the past fifteen months. He’s done some good things, such as Gorsuch, but millions voted for him strictly for the wall.

"You got the House." Not really, a majority of the House is Establishment...a majority of House Republicans are Establishment.

"The art of the deal, screw the art of the deal." He's onto something here...a deal is a win-win by two parties that want to do something that benefits both in some way. A deal cannot happen when one participant actually and clearly wants to destroy the other. That's not a deal, it's a noose.

If Trump waits on Ryan and McConnell, not one foot of wall will be built.
Trump should use any monies appropriated for the wall in 2006 but not yet spent, and get the wall underway. He should push Cruz’s bill to use money confiscated from drug kings on wall construction. Trump should gin up a bill to tax remittances to Mexico and spend on wall construction and tell McConnell and Ryan that he will veto every one of their proposals until they pass the remittances bill, even if it means junking the filibuster rule or “shutting down” the government.
Or admit his repeated campaign promise that he would build a border wall is no longer operative.
The swamp draining of Congress is up to us, WE have to Cantorize the weasels.
Corker, Hatch, Heller and Flake need to go in 2018.
All voted for Rubio’s Gang of Amnesty bill.
To each his own.
They have to be called out and dealt with and more conservatives need to be elected in 2018.
Meanwhile, Trump needs to explore ways to divert money to the construction of the wall, part of which was approved by Congress in 2006.
I’m feel certain DJT will get the wall done.
