It was a message repeated several times at a Democrat news conference Tuesday afternoon: Republicans, agree with us on a spending bill, or we’ll blame you for shutting down the government.

And it appears that Republicans, who control all three branches of government, are listening:

“Now last night, we received a bit of good news — not just for Democrats but for the country — that the president is easing off his demands for a border wall in the government funding bill,” Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) told the news conference.

“The money is better used elsewhere,” Schumer said. “If the wall is $50 billion, you could use that money to give just about every American broadband.” …

It’s not the role of the federal government to give people broadband service. Broadband service is easily affordable now and citizens can get their own broadband service. But citizens cannot effectively defend the border against illegal immigration. That’s the role of the federal government. It won’t help citizens to have broadband service if they get shot by a gang member who shouldn’t be in this country. Democrats have their priorities upside down, as usual.

Since GOP controls both houses, it must be the GOP that’s blocking funding for the wall. Articles about Shumer are convenient diversions to divert our attention from the GOP obstruction. In fact, Sen Gardner of Colo, a Repub, said its not the time to debate the wall. So there you have it: The GOP wants the wall to go away, and they seem to be succeeding

Yea divert attention from the diversion of the billions of tax dollars to free to illegals; food stamps. medical care, energy assistance, education, housing it’s costing New Yorkers on what that Globalist open borders Sanctuary state policy is actually costing them.

And if a New Yorker dares to complain that if they wound up on the other side of the Rio Grande none of that or the right to vote would be given them.. They’re called a racist.

Drove by a housing complex in NJ, recently.

Satellite dishes on top of every unit’s roof.

Who’s paying for that?

You and I.

The definition of broadband access is true 25 Mbps downloads. Satellite connections as of now don’t meet this threshold and the latency is problematic. I may not know much, but of this I know plenty after twenty years in the business.

My Boost Mobile Hotspot gave me 4G LTE out past Sheridan WY in absolutely nowhere, like a hundred miles outside of town; just a farm or two off in the distance.

Ok let's do the math. The border from Brownsville to San Diego is roughly 2000 miles. So at $50B, Schmucky Sh!tbird quoted price, how much per mile does that work out to?

$50Billion / 2000 miles = $25,000,000 / mile.

Ok. Raise your hand if you think a 30 foot high concrete wall with guard towers every 100 yards would cost $25M/mile.

Democrats can’t win unless they have a multitude of ignorant minorities with enough votes to win or they have enough liberal judges to block the majority will...either way, we have to stop these bastards!

It’s internet access. Sometimes that’s all people want and don’t care too much about speed. My folks have CenturyLink where they live and only get .7 (point 7) download speed and .5 (point 5) upload and they’re satisfied with it; they’re not into ripping games and all that.

My Boost Mobile on the road does quite well for me; they go through Sprint which is basically everywhere. I don’t use those smart phones, they’re just toys. All I have is a Walmart Trakphone and I get 400 minutes a month for $17 and it rolls over. I’m not a Chatty Kathy; there’s over 4,000 minutes on it for use.
