Hubby is a Vietnam vet and has never taken anything from government. He came home and got a job with benefits and never even used the VA. Not once.
We both worked our rears off to support our family and do things right. We stayed in a house (even though we could afford a McMansion) and paid it off. Now both retired we pay taxes all year long and send them a huge check on April 15th. . Just doesn’t seem right somehow.
Doesn’t seem right because it ain’t right. The city of Houston is begging the state to bail them out of their pension shortage....Saying they’re going to have to lay off a bunch of cops. I have to wonder If it wouldn’t be cheaper to buy everyone a gun and let the people protect themselves.
