This reminds me of something that I saw on Youtube recently. It was a thing about Willie Nelson and his guitar “Trigger”

He was talking about his moving back to Texas because his career in Nashville was stagnant back in the late sixties. He said he came home to the house he was renting and saw it was on fire. He said that he ran inside to grab a big bag of weed he had just purchased and just happened to grab the legendary guitar (which wasn’t legendary then) on his way out the door. He said he saw the fire as an omen to get out of Nashville and moved back to Texas after that where his career took off. That guitar became a huge part of his signature sound. Weird how things work out.

I saw an interview with Willie where he was talking about writing the song Crazy. He wrote 3 songs in route to Nashville and all 3 were hits. They asked him if Crazy reflected his personal life, professional song writing or I think dumb luck.

Willie responded “All three, to give you an idea of where my head was, the original title was I’m Stupid.

LOL, has nothing to do with the fire, but great story.
