Howard Dean: “Hate speech is not protected by the first amendment”
https://www.jihadwatch.org ^ | 04/21/2017 | Robert Spencer

Posted on 04/21/2017 3:50:02 PM PDT by heterosupremacist

"This is an increasingly common idea, and is not just restricted to failed presidential candidates. It is also an extremely insidious idea, for “hate speech,” contrary to popular belief, is not an objectively quantifiable entity.

One’s person’s “hate speech” is another’s outspoken defense of liberty and justice. And there is no basis in the Constitution, or in the numerous Supreme Court decisions interpreting it up to now, for the claim that there is any exclusion of “hate speech” from First Amendment protection. The label of “hate speech” is a tool in the hands of the powerful that they use to stigmatize and silence the powerless.

That’s why Dean’s statement is so dangerous: it heralds the end of all First Amendment protection, and the criminalization of dissent..."

With all due respect to Dr. Dean, I think that he means that your vote for a Democrat (also RINO) will buy you politically correct federal protection laws, such laws based on constitutionally nonexistant federal government powers.
”From the accepted doctrine that the United States is a government of delegated powers, it follows that those not expressly granted, or reasonably to be implied from such as are conferred, are reserved to the states, or to the people. To forestall any suggestion to the contrary, the Tenth Amendment was adopted. The same proposition, otherwise stated, is that powers not granted are prohibited [emphasis added].” —United States v. Butler, 1936.

Drain the swamp! Drain the swamp!

Remember in November ’18 !

Since Trump entered the ’16 presidential race too late for patriots to make sure that there were state sovereignty-respecting candidates on the primary ballots, patriots need make sure that such candidates are on the ’18 primary ballots so that they can be elected to support Trump in draining the unconstitutionally big federal government swamp.

Such a Congress will also be able to finish draining the swamp with respect to getting the remaining state sovereignty-ignoring, activist Supreme Court justices off of the bench.

In fact, if Justice Gorsuch turns out to be a liberal Trojan Horse then we will need 67 patriot senators to remove a House-impeached Gorsuch from office.

Noting that the primaries start in Iowa and New Hampshire in February ‘18, patriots need to challenge candidates for federal office in the following way.

While I Googled the primary information above concerning Iowa and New Hampshire, FReeper iowamark brought to my attention that the February primaries for these states apply only to presidential election years. And after doing some more scratching, since primary dates for most states for 2018 elections probably haven’t been uploaded at this time (March 14, 2017), FReepers will need to find out primary dates from sources and / or websites in their own states.

Patriots need to qualify candidates by asking them why the Founding States made the Constitution’s Section 8 of Article I; to limit (cripple) the federal government’s powers.

“Hate speech is speech which attacks a person or group on the basis of attributes such as gender, ethnic origin, religion, race, disability, or sexual orientation.”

Well, Howard, my boy, that means I can call you a stupid, idiotic fool and not cross the line. So I’d be right in both cases.

” hate speech, is not an objectively quantifiable entity.”

Nor is it a universally accepted definition, which doesnt matter.

In any case, you argument fails on its own definition and because my rabbit has a pancake on its head

What is hate speech? Didn’t Ben Shapiro get run off from a speaking engagement by violent protesters because they said he is a spewer of hate speech. Seriously, Ben Shapiro spews hate?

Hate speech is whatever speech doesn’t agree with the accuser’s position And Howard Dean is a psycho gasbag who is a hazard to liberty. There — I probably went and committed hate speech.
