Practically every black person in the United States would be regarded as colored in Africa. To them that means they’re not entirely of African ancestry, they’re part something else.

If I understand her position correctly, it's that she's just as much a black person as Bruce Jenner or Bradley Manning is a woman. I happen to agree with that, actually.
