Aaron Hernandez’s murder conviction is expected to be dismissed posthumously because of a legal rule called “abatement.”
That would mean, legally speaking, Aaron Hernandez died an innocent man.
Hernandez hanged himself in his prison cell and was found dead early Wednesday morning, the Massachusetts Department of Correction said. Hernandez had been serving a sentence of life in prison without parole after being convicted of the June 2013 murder of Odin Lloyd.

They did just that with OJ Simpson who had actually been acquitted of the murders but yet was found culpable in the civil trial.
Here we are hours later, and......Hernandez is still dead. Death sentence without parole.
He received justice, I don’t care what legal technicalities occur after he’s dead and they no longer need to investigate or prosecute him. They can make him a member of the Chariots of Fire Care-Bears, Balloons, and Lollipop Girls’ Club for all I care.
Somewhere, somehow I would bet that a Kennedy was involved with the crafting and passage of this ‘obscure’ law....................
Dead, and no longer a felon.
Guess he’ll be registering to vote.
