Do they name subs after states now?
A few years back I hauled a periscope from Rhode Island to San Diego for the USS Ashville. Drove right up to the boat. I’m sure they knew everything about me or they wouldn’t have let me haul it.
I think there are more subs than states. Of course, they often named battleships after states, too.
