A snake found its way into a Harrington Park yard and spooked the homeowners

“The electrician had gone around the side of the house and froze when he saw the snake, it had him pinned up so he didn’t want to move,” he said.

“Putting a bucket over the snake can be dangerous because you’re within the strike range, it’s better to throw the towel from a small distance to keep you out of that range.

“Cats will often chase a snake and because their teeth are sharp and cylinder shaped they will bite and the wound will close up but because of the bacteria in a cat’s mouth which can be quite dangerous for the snake’s health.”

The water isn’t even safe... The box jellyfish is common off shore.... The size of your fingernail... yet it can kill you...

Beautiful land.... with lots of creep crawlies... and swimmies....

Straw Bale garden
How long have you been using straw bales and how do you like it?
I’ve been looking at it but unsure.
Looks like a place for unwanted critters to move in.
The snake is ok as long as I do not have to deal with him.
Had a compost pile over the winter and something moved in??
The dogs found it very interesting, I would rather avoid that issue?

I can identify 3 species of non-poisonous snakes. All others are dead.
