Well, I’d like to hear her stuff, but will accept the column at face-value. Prodigies are rare; I hope she prospers.
Maybe she can tour with Babymetal.
I might have been interested in a 12-year old girl guitarist when I was 10 but there weren’t any back then. Instead, there were the Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, The Kinks, Jeff Beck, Ray Charles, Chuck Berry, The Mothers of Invention, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Stooges...Boy, am I ever glad that I grew up (or not) when I did.
WOW!
Check out the Youtube of a twelve year old Joe Bonamassa playing Danny Gatton’s Tele at a state fair in Bakersfield with Danny watching off to the side. And I believe there’s video on the net of Derek Trucks jamming with some big boys when he was 10 or 11.

Reminds me I saw this 12 year old from Norway I was very impressed with. He has more of a blues style, Stevie Ray Vaughn influence, but extremely worth hearing.

Its counterintuitive to think that someone who is that good that young wont dominate in time but I’ve been reading about these wundurkinder for decades but rarely hear anything about them when they get older even if they are out there recording and touring.
