I’m a professional DJ and for the past 15 years I have entertained at a Father/Daughter Dance. It was one of the highlights of my year. Because my daughters became old enough to go with me. Fathers were dressed in suits and daughters looked like little princesses. This year I was told that we may not do the dance next year because a ‘few’ women were complaining that it wasn’t inclusive enough. I went home shaking my head. Sad times.

Men have had to give up male only schools and universities, Boy Scouts, Military schools, the Army, the Navy, the Air Force, and the Marines, the Special ops, Firefighting, Policing and Construction all to women.

When someone complains what ever happened to the words: So What?

I have attended men's events at churches over the years. I have noticed a trend where women have started attending these "men's" events. Seems intrusive to me -- why not let the men have a little space and build each other up.

Similarly, I believe its good for men/fathers to spend time with their daughters in a forum without mom. It's a special time to build a relationship.
