A whore is not just "any single mother" --- who might be single because of divorce, abandonment, husband in prison or AWOL, or husband court-ordered to stay away because of a protection order/restraining order/peace bond; she may have been impregnated by rape; or she may be single mother because of simple fornication with a man-of-the-momnt (which is morally objectionable, for sure, but it's not commercial sex.)
