I would add a fire stick, life straw and monocular. These are items I have for every day carry (EDC), not including conceal carry.

Compass, maps, filter, fire stick, and monocular fit in one pocket of tacklite pants.

I always tell someone where I am going and when I will be back.

That’s right, depending on GPS is depending on someone else. Someone who is not there with you. Someone who may have never even set foot in the state you’re in.
