The new one about the XFL is a scream. So much that was right and yet too much that went wrong with that endeavor. Although it wasn't suggested, I'll always believe that Vince McMahon's biggest tactical error was starting its season immediately after the NFL's Super Bowl. By that point fans are just TIRED of football for the next several months. They want a break from it. The XFL had a phenomenal opening weekend and then it was too much novelty at the wrong time.
Had the XFL's inaugural season run concurrent with the NFL's regular season, and had NBC the confidence to be so bold, the XFL likely would have lasted much longer.
