Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz will step down from his position at the company within the next month. This decision comes after the company’s pledge to hire 10,000 refugees to protest President Trump’s temporary travel halt.

The Daily Mail reports that Howard Schultz will step down from his position as CEO of Starbucks next month. He will continue as executive chairman of the company. Schultz will be replaced as CEO by Starbucks President and Chief Operating Officer Kevin Johnson, who will assume the position of CEO on April 3rd.

In the announcement of his decision to step down as CEO, Schultz stated that he “will shift his focus to innovation, design, and development of Starbucks Reserve Roasteries around the world, expansion of the Starbucks Reserve retail store format and the company’s social impact initiatives and focus on Starbucks next wave of retail innovation.”

ummm.. he was not fired for it but that does not equal not related. He had already resigned and knew that— so he figured he could do whatever he wanted, with no regards for the company..

I think these boycotts are bad no matter which side of the aisle they come from. That being said...if I go into the Starbucks that is literally next door to me and see a woman with some weird thing on her head...I'm outta there.

I've had it with the deliberate dilution of our American culture that worked so well and created the great success that is the USA.

Oh, please! How about we get real and stop acting like the DUers did with the Madcow Trump tax return fiasco, where they were drooling all over themselves that she had some real dirt on Trump and instead ended up with egg all over their faces.

By the way, Schultz is still chairman of Starbucks.

I don’t mind fooling the left, but let’s not fool ourselves.

Schultz announced his retirement a month before he made his comment about hiring refugees. The two have nothing to do with each other.

The rumor is he's prepping to run for President on the Democrat ticket.

Too late. I’ve found better places to buy coffee—not run by stupid people.

Yes, and their coffee sucks as well! The windfall of their branding has worn off in a highly competitive market!
