It seemed a little early to condemn NFL teams for freezing out Colin Kaepernick. Barely a week had gone by in free agency. With one exception albeit a grotesque, borderline-obscene one not many quarterbacks had been coming off of the market. Bleacher Reports Friday story on how front-office types still want nothing to do with him for his protests during the national anthem shined another light on it.

No America's servicemen who bravely went off to war made the ultimate sacrifice. Kaepernick dishonored that sacrifice. We the fans are the ultimate employers for these overpaid prima donnas who are in reality playing a kids game. Piss us off and you are fired.
Lefties blackball conservatives all the time and it doesn’t seem to be a problem.
I certainly hope so.
He disgusts me.
I’m sure, since his “stance” was based upon deeply held principles, that he is more than willing to accept whatever consequences may result. /s
#committednotreallycommitttedhypocrite
inexplicably, the writer seems to think this is a problem.
You cannot “prove a negative”
It’s up to you to prove he IS being blackballed.
Frankly I think he is getting exactly what he deserves.
Unless he gets down on his knees and kisses Trump’s ass and apologizes for disrespecting the country that gave him the chance to have a multi-million dollar career, he’s finished.
I certainly hope so...
No surpises here.
He is more guilty of politicizing sports the way he is accusing the NFL.
Yes!!!
This leftwing crap is what’s left of the Sporting News?
"He can still play at a high level," one AFC general manager said. "The problem is three things are happening with him.
"First, some teams genuinely believe that he can't play. They think he's shot. I'd put that number around 20 percent.
"Second, some teams fear the backlash from fans after getting him. They think there might be protests or [President Donald] Trump will tweet about the team. I'd say that number is around 10 percent. Then there's another 10 percent that has a mix of those feelings.
"Third, the rest genuinely hate him and can't stand what he did [kneeling for the national anthem]. They want nothing to do with him. They won't move on. They think showing no interest is a form of punishment. I think some teams also want to use Kaepernick as a cautionary tale to stop other players in the future from doing what he did."
When I spoke to a handful of executives at the combine a few weeks ago, one even called him "an embarrassment to football."
Prove he’s not??? WTF? When did this become the standard?
He has the right to express his decision.
We have the right to boycott to expect ours.
It’s a business decision for the owners.
The football audience is conservative by and large. Why would they pay money to someone who will alienate their paying customers?
Colonostomy is a reporter’s dream. They can now write about how football has lost fans, for the next ten years.
Eff the nfl.
Mr. Steele apparently does’t know that “blackballed” is racially offensive.

The first lesson taught when solving problems: impossible to prove a negative. So.....prove he is. Otherwise the author needs to stfu.
Four yards passing, five sacks against the 2-9 Bears. Yeah, it’s politics, all right.
