...‘Sorry, but if you are overweight, pedicures will be $45 due to service fees for pedicurists. Thank you!’

One angry woman from Memphis shared it online declaring it to be ‘So rude!’. Rose Nails, which usually charges just $20 for the procedure, was confronted by local TV.

They should lose all of their custoers, just for coming up with this idea in the first place. Too stupid to be in bidness.

Last time I was in Memphis I formed the opinion that everyone had a BMI in excess of 30.

Fat people take up more space. They are the WORST in airlines. They sort of spill over their seats onto others. So annoying. The adjacent passengers should be given a discount for their seats are now being taken over by the fats of the fat customers.

15 years or so ago now...sitting in a Cuban restaurant in Miami with my uncle. We ordered caldo gallego (Gaulician soup: https://www.bigoven.com/recipe/caldo-gallego-spanish-white-bean-soup/193379) for the starter. The waitress pokes him in the belly and says “No frijoles por usted. Gordo!”. “No bean soup for you, hot shot. You’re too fat.”. We still laugh about that night.

Fat people cost more in just about everything. They cost airlines more because flight costs are in large part determined by weight. A 400 pound body requires more fuel to transport than a 18o pound body but suggesting that a fat person pay his own way is unthinkable. Fat people have to have wider chairs in movie theaters so fewer total seats can be provided but insist on other people paying for their extra space. Fat people require more cloth in their clothing, more wood, plastic, steel in their furniture. At least they pay for the greater amount of food they eat.

“Oops!” doesn’t cut much slack after you’ve gone ahead and stepped off the ledge. For one thing, they were going to have guidelines for determining “fat”? Like a body sized copy of those little steel frames in airports your carry-on bag is supposed to fit into maybe? That would be interesting to watch.

Thankfully the waitress wasn’t fired and the establishment sued for their offensive cacomorphobia.

They are talking about treatment of the whole foot and there is definitely more acreage on a 400 pounder’s foot than on a 120 pounder’s. The nail salons do a lot of what it once required a much more expensive visit to the podiatrist to get done.

Haven’t you seen $26 entres at Chili’s? We’re all subsidizing ‘em, my friend.

No but they break chairs. The chairs in such a salon can cost $2000.00.

That would just send them to the nail salon or podiatrist more often and they couldn’t bitch about it costing more without inviting sarcasm and direct observations. I guess if Mrs Bill had won the election that would all be actionable offenses.

In fact I had a chair in my deck furniture that was broken by my fat former business partner. He just laughed.

I think it a great idea!

The article states “He claimed that two chairs had been broken, costing between $2,000 and $2,500, because of overweight clients.”

Years ago while working as a server, a fat woman plopped into a booth in my station. Broke solid wood into two. I lost money with one less table.
