Saturn's moon Mimas as imaged by the Cassini spacecraft during its final flyby in January. The left side, lit only by reflected light, has been enhanced to better show the moon's features. The image depicts about 820 feet (250 meters) per pixel.

>>Cassini flew just 25,620 miles (41,230 kilometers) from the pockmarked moon Jan. 30, on the spacecraft’s seventh and final flyby of the moon. <<

And all it got was this lousy T-shirt!

I’ll bet that Moon wasn’t very popular in High School, and the Jocks and Cheerleaders were MEAN to him! ;)

We live in the MOST amazing Universe; it’s mind-boggling that we can even GET pictures like this!

Unless, you know, they’re FAKED or something. ;)

Looks like a computer rendered shape based on readings (and artificially lit). Hardly a photo.

That’s what most of the middle east and norther Africa should look like.

Rebuild it with humans, not pious barbaric animals.

[[has been enhanced ]]

Where is the unenhanced version? This version just looks fake, plastic- it’s fine to show the craters and all- but woudl prefer it be shown with the natural photos as well-

It shows how Saturn’s gravitational field has pulled lots of material into this moon. There must be a wealth of minerals on that moon. I wonder if there is gold in those craters?
