Roku also has Youtube on it. And if you have Amazon Prime, you can access movies/British television series through Roku as well. MIT lecture videos are also available.

Add Acorn prime for $5/month and you can get basically every Brit tv series ever made.

We watch about 8 tv shows, zero movies and zero sports with the exception of the SF Giants.

A Prime plus Acorn is our main source of late afternoon and evening tv.

Surprisingly, I've found that YouTube is my 'go to' channel for just about everything that interests me (mostly documentaries and science programs).

Before we cut the cable and got Roku, television was a wasteland with few offerings that I cared for.

We've saved at least $70 per month, since switching, and will never go back to cable.
