A Muslim taxi-driver in England, one Abandi Kassim, was recently fined for refusing to take on a blind passenger’s seeing-eye dog because, as Kassim claimed: “For me, it’s about my religion.”
There have been many such cases in the U.S., the UK, and Canada of Muslims refusing to pick up fares with seeing-eye dogs. Many of the Somali taxi drivers who made up three-quarters of the 900 taxi drivers at the Minneapolis airport refused to pick up blind passengers because of their dogs. When forced to do so, some of them simply quit.

I think you’re on to something there.
Hatred of dogs predates islam and is prevalent in other beliefs
When in Thailand we learned that Thais hated dogs because of a Buddhist or pre Buddhist belief that reincarnated criminals came back as dogs
Hence dogs were stoned starved and otherwise shunned
They were poor skinny skulking terrible mangy animals with a high incidence of rabies
Cats on the other hand were revered

Possibly based on desert feral dogs. But that's their religion's proscription against the most wonderful non-human species on the planet (no offense to Dolphins, but you're really hard to host).
If a Muslim approaches one of my dogs in an unfriendly manner I will turn him into mulch.
Because dogs have a sense, honed by millennia of being around humanity. They can -instantly- and unfailingly spot an asshole.

Look at the gratitude and love in those dogs rescued by American soldiers.
Dogs are always honest. A dog’s rules of behavior runs afoul of the deceitful behavior of Islam.
