The National Biscuit Company (today known as Nabisco) first developed and produced the “Oreo Biscuit” in 1912 at its Chelsea factory in New York City. Today, the block on which the factory was located is known as “Oreo Way”.

•The name “Oreo” was first trademarked on March 14, 1912. •The first Oreo cookies in the United States sold for 25 cents a pound in clear glass topped novelty cans. •In 1912, the Oreo Biscuit was renamed to “Oreo Sandwich”. •In 1948, the Oreo Sandwich was renamed to “Oreo Creme Sandwich”. •William A. Turnier developed the modern-day Oreo design in 1952 to include the Nabisco logo. •Nabisco’s principal food scientist, Sam Procello, developed the modern Oreo cookie filling.

Shouldn’t that be in Spanish since they’re made in Mexico now?

No, thanks. Oreos has been banned in this house for years. They can keep their LGBT and other causes. A cookie should be about a cookie, not an agenda.

Hydrox did it better. And they didn’t do the ‘rainbow’.

Hydrox cookies are back!! Call your local grocery store and request that they carry them.

Their newest flavors include: Waffles & Syrup, Jelly Donut, Mississippi Mud Pie, and Firework Oreo Cookies.

I’m more excited about Reese’s new crunchy cookie cups ;)

Yuck! I don’t know if I totally missed that or forgot about it. I don’t even want to type out what they should be filled with considering their sexual practices.

When our boys were in Iraq, we frequently sent care packages to them. One of the boxes to the oldest included a full package of oreos. While the box was in transit, he got hurt and sent to hospital in USA. The box then was rerouted to his base in Hawaii, before being returned to us in Nebraska. I don’t think it got back to Nebraska for almost 2 years. The oreos were barely broken, and were not even stale, many months later.

To make ONLY when Nabisco makes Oreo's here in America, again.

OREO CREAM PIE/ serves 15-20

CRUST Reserve 1/4 cup of the Oreo crumbs and set aside. In a large bowl, combine the remaining Oreo crumbs and melted butter. Oreos should be damp but not wet. Press mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9x13 glass dish to form the crust.

LAYER combine cream cheese, 1/2 whipped topping and powdered sugar. Mix just smooth on med. Pour over crust, using a moistened spatula to spread evenly.

LAYER Combine pudding mix, milk and sweetened condensed milk; mix until smooth. Pour over the second layer spreading it out evenly across the top.

Fridge approximately 15 minutes or until the pudding is set. Spread the remaining whipped topping over the top and then sprinkle with reserved cookie crumbs.

SERVE cold.

ING 1 (16 5/8 ounce) package Oreo cookies, finely crushed 1⁄2 cup butter, melted 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened 1 cup powdered sugar 1 (16 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed 1 3⁄4 cups whole milk 1 (6 ounce) package instant chocolate pudding mix 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
