They don’t want Sessions to leave his position, they want him to recuse himself from the Russia investigation. They want a special prosecutor.

He met the Russians as senator not as a member of Trumps campaign. Nothing to see here. Move on.

This story is an old Clinton trick of diversion
to get Trumps speech off the front page.

So anyone who even speaks to a Russian is not qualified to be in government? This is the type of crap that is pulling us into a “new cold war”.

Pence is a Christian and Flynn is a Dem.

Going after ANY of Trump’s nominees hurts Trump above all. Flynn just made it easy by LYING.

The leak did not come from Pence. On that point you are wholly mistaken. The leak, which proved Flynn LIED, came after Pence had vouched for Flynn.

As a Senator he met all kinds of people in 2016. The two incidents had nothing to do with the Trump campaign.

I have a Russian nesting doll, does that disqualify me for a position in the Trump administration? /s

This is the reason that the incorruptible wallow in relative obscurity, while the vile rise to the heights of power. If you are not able to be controlled by your past actions, the PTB simply do not want you in power. What is happening is the Powerful jerked a couple of Session strings, and found he didn’t move.

It is a coup de tat in slow motion.

I refer you all to my tag line.

>You could not be more wrong. Allowing Flynn to stay would have meant blaring headlines each time his name came up regarding his position in the Administration. Any “event”, any statement by him on any subject would have been cause for the media to again bring up his “lie” to the VP and ask the question, “how can anyone be sure he is not lying again”

>He had to go.

Have you ever seen the media defeated during a witch hunt? I hadn’t seen it happen much before Trump ran, but over and over again I watched him defeat the media by refusing to back down and they’d concede the issue after their outrage machine failed. It’s when you give in to them that they really ramp it up as we’re seeing right now. Learn from Trump’s example and never give the bastards an inch.

As a senator, Sessions met with many people. If he was out of line, what about Schumer and Pelosi? Using your logic, shouldn’t they be removed too?

Trump has rendered the media all but irrelevant. To keep Sessions on would bring them back out every single time anything came up regarding the NSA. Anything Session said would be a headline because the mainstream media would question its veracity. They would say, for instance, “How can we be sure what Sessions is saying is true, after all he has lied before”

Behold the rinos reaction to the fakenews about Sessions. D.C. is irreparably corrupt.

The only ‘mistakes’ I’ve seen Trump make, were his decisions made by the urging of the rinos in his circle. How bout that.

Your instincts are normally spot on...

I’ve done a 180 on Flynn. I shared your position until very recently, when I dug more deeply into the incident. Flynn lied not once but twice, in a pattern only too familiar to anyone who has dealt with dishonest, self-serving people. It was very disturbing to see.

Continuing to back Flynn for such a crucial, sensitive position after he blatantly lied—twice—would have been the real mistake. Trump’s instincts were right as usual.

First I misposted my reply. I was referring to the reason Flynn had to be let go, not Sessions.

That said your response is a wise ass, sarcastic one and totally uncalled. I would normally leave it there but folks at your level need a bit more.

So then, go fu*k yourself.

Miss-remembering isn’t lying and if he needed to go, wait 6 months and then replace him. Never, ever, give into a witch hunt. If you don’t have the guts to resist the media, then you may be playing for the wrong side.

>That said your response is a wise ass, sarcastic one and totally uncalled. I would normally leave it there but folks at your level need a bit more.

You made up a lie about Sessions lying. I don’t take kindly to liars and give such people just as much respect as they deserve. If it was a misunderstanding then I would have taken it back, but you’ve chosen to insult me instead of making up for it.

>So then, go fu*k yourself.

A good Conservative would admit that he made a mistake and apologize for the miss understanding. You’ve decided to toss insults and personal attacks like any good little liberal.

The DU is that way —————————>

What was the lie? That he told Russia not to retaliate and said they would discuss things when Trump is in office? It’s so ambiguous that to call it a lie is an exaggeration. Second, if Trump thought he lied to Pence, why did Trump wait three weeks before bringing it up to him and only saying something after media reports? Pence is a Christian man, and he could have forgiven Flynn, but the administration turned over Flynn’s scalp, and I have been vindicated. They used the same strategy with Jeff Sessions. It worked to a degree because now Sessions has recused himself from the Russia scare investigation, and the media isn’t giving up. They would like to get him to step down altogether.

The supposed lie is that he discussed sanctions which was an exaggeration as I detailed in my post. Even Trump says he did nothing wrong and waited three weeks until it hit the media before he did anything. If Trump was so concerned over the “lie” to Pence, he would have been immediately terminated.

I have been vindicated because I said at the time they would use the same strategy to try to take other Trump cabinet members and advisors out, and that is precisely what is occurring. Who is next? I know one thing - it won’t be Priebus or someone from the “establishment’ wing.
