Life Stories: Nigel Farage
ITV ^ | 02/24/2017

There is a series, hosted by Piers Morgan, on UK television called "life stories" - very much more detailed personal interviews. Well, last week they did one on the one and only Nigel Farage. Its quite interesting.

TOPICS: Chit/Chat; Miscellaneous; Society
KEYWORDS: farage; interview; uk; ukip
I know many folk don't like Piers Morgan, but in all fairness he is a pretty good interviewer, and he comes over as being quite fair in this. (He's also a Trump supporter, amazingly enough).

He has not been all that bad with President Trump.

Other than being anti-2nd Amendment Piers Morgan is fairly conservative. People tend to confuse him with Simon Cowell

The greatest mistake England ever made was not making Farage prime minister.

That guy just gets what’s happening so well.

I agree. This was quite an interesting interview.

Look at how tough this interview was! They ask him about his sex life, relationship with his wife.

But all in all, Nigel is very real and a delight to learn more about.

In his school years, it sounds like he grew up as a Stephen Miller, a standout conservative with lefties everywhere he looked.

The guy has an incredible sense of humor. His enthusiasm is infectious and a great debater like Trump.

I’m probably like a lot of Americans — he’s the first British politician I’ve really know anything about.

The great part of this interview is when Piers goes and finds some body, any body who is in the UKIP and makes some racist sounding statement. The point is that Nigel either has to denounce him, which gives them a story to write. Or he ignores it, in which they write a story how he refuses to distance himself.

The reality is that any group large enough to win a national election is going to have people who believe anything, and say anything. Nigel handles it by telling Piers that he is causing the hate in the streets. Its the media who is causing Nigel’s family to require body guards, and deal with death threats.

I think Nigel handles this well. And Trump needs to handle it the same way, which is to accuse the media of creating hate. Giving racists a voice and then attaching them to Trump. Trump needs to go right after the media for any question like this.

I watched a WH spokes women deal with George Stephanopoulos who wanted a special prosecutor because the Trump justice department could not be trusted to investigate something that a republican might be involved in. Which is odd because George is playing a nonpartisan member of the media after working for the Clintons and working in the Clinton White House. Clearly George can’t be trusted to be a journalist.
