Bill Pullman was in Spaceballs and Independence Day. Bill Paxton was in Twister.

How sad. If you look at the gross dollars of films he is in, he has to be up there in terms of more high-grossing films than anyone else: “Twister,” “Aliens,” “True Lies,” on and on.
Then, of course, who would ever forget Chet in “Weird Science?”
Way too young.

That was Bill Pullman. He also played the President in Independence Day.

I always got a laugh in Weird Science with him playing Chet and Kelly LeBrock turning him into a giant turd. He had a great career and seemed like a great guy. Married 30 yrs with 2 kids. Sad when they’re still young.

I realized that after I posted. I had them confused for some reason. Maybe I need coffee.

Master Sergeant Farell: Griff, I want you to take care of Private Cage.
Griff: What, all day long?
Master Sergeant Farell: Something tells me it won't be that long.

Wowthat is really too bad. His performance as Pvt Hudson in Aliens will always be a classic. It was stellar. To take an interstellar Marine, and make him into a whiney blob of scared goo, was pure brilliance.

Complications from heart surgery. He died from a stroke.

He was also great as one of the three punks who encounter Ahnold in the first Terminator. I think that’s when I first discovered him — then Chet in weird science.
This is sad. He was a fun actor.
