Regulators are still scrambling to get California’s recreational pot market launched and are racing to issue licenses to growers and sellers by early 2018. Still to be decided is who will receive the first licenses to grow, distribute and sell recreational marijuana.

Growers already cleared to sell medical marijuana in California could be the first in line.

Just another example of the “bad examples”. They just keep on keeping on. Don’t they have any self-respect.

“Beer and spirit companies have warned investors that legal weed could threaten profits.”
And there is the reason weed was made illegal.

Three years ago I was contacted by a man seeking contractors in advance of building a grow facility in Washington State when rec pot was passed there.

He was a retired investment broker and saw an opportunity. He was investing almost $1 Million and had a detailed plan which was based on a four year ROI and 3 to 4 years of profit at which time he projected big companies like Phillip Morris, or Dole would be getting into the game and start buying up all the small entrepreneurs.

Word is they are already snooping around for profitable and well run grower businesses and some marijuana industry corps are already going public.

I'm going to guess that CA will over-regulate and over-tax it to the point it will still be easier for legal possessors to do business with criminals.

If TX cracks down on weed while CA is encouraging it, the narcotraffic from MX will divert thataway. Then, when the CA growing renders the cartels null, mules and their dependents and illegals in general will swarm the farms for work, or go home.

CA continues Cloward-Pivening themselves to death, and the narco-routes in the SW are cleaned up. When illegals are no longer any political or drug benefit to the CA Left, all will be left is landscapers, if it all goes right.
