A transgender wrestler who stormed through a competition has been told he shouldn't be allowed to wrestle women because it's 'cheating'. Several people complained that 17-year-old Mack Beggs, of Texas, USA, should not be allowed to wrestle women as his testosterone treatment, which he is taking as he undergoes his transition from female to male, has made him too strong to wrestle women fairly.

Wouldn’t that be comparable to taking steroids?

Just the latest example of governments pretending things to be true but aren’t true. In this case pretending that homosexuality in any form is normal. Other instances have turned out badly and some are still on-going:
- Pretending that black people aren’t people-slavery.
- Pretending that Jewish people aren’t people-holocaust.
- Pretending that pre-born people aren’t people-abortions.

Some states, like Texas, have girls’ wrestling. The states that don’t occasionally have girls who join the boys’ team. We’ve told our boys they never have to wrestle a girl-they can forfeit if they want. But I always tell them that if they choose to wrestle her then do not hold back one bit-don’t be more gentle than they would be with a boy.

Of course, now that they are at 150 and 170, the chances of facing a female opponent are slim. Our oldest is wrestling in the section tournament today-first time I will be able to make it to a match all year. I’m so excited!

“If I weigh in at 185 can I identify as a 125 pounder?”

What an awesome idea! Yes, it’s a little off topic, but from now on I am going to identify as a 25 year old, handsome man with a thick head of hair! (The old me was challenged in some of those areas.)

PC run amok is ruining women’s sports, restrooms, etc—but too many of them are supporting it politically.

I wonder if and when more and more of them will reach their breaking point and wake up.

“Gender Identity” spells the end for women’s sports.

I was going to hijack this thread by bringing up women in the front-line military, but I changed my mind. It was just too easy.

why would she even want to wrestle in a girls’ tournament

Texas rules are that you wrestle the gender that's on your birth certificate.

No athlete should be allowed to compete with females if they have ever taken testosterone! It is not fair.

There was a wrestler name Chyna...she is dead now from alcohol abuse.

From early photos of her it appears to me she had taken testosterone at a young age to enhance performance.

Whoever gave her the steroids should have been shot IMO.

Here are some images of her at 27

Here she is at 42 after facial reconstruction to achieve a feminine appearance.

Lance Armstrong was banned from pro cycling for life for taking performance-enhancing drugs, including male sex hormones (testosterone). And he's a man!

How much more ridiculous is it to tolerate -- in the name of political correctness -- a woman taking male hormones and then competing against other women?

If Lance had declared himself a woman (a la Bruce Jenner) and then competed in the womens' events, would that have been okay?

This is beyond absurd.

The ultimate selfishness - she got what she wanted by supposedly changing genders, but is too selfish to stop wrestling even with an unfair advantage over real girls.
Speaks poorly for the character of the kid and parents to proceed on this course. People have no shame these days.

Under sane/normal circumstances the testosterone injections would disqualify the wrestler. Just another case of special treatment for the degenerates.
