Teaching their kids to love their nation and to remember a great moment for them. How quaint. That would never happen here.
Remembering their grandfathers accomplishments at places like Stalingrad, Moscow, Leningrad, Kursk, and ultimately Berlin should be should be a great source of pride for a nation. I suspect their children know these events well.
In our country, our young look with blank stares when Gettysburg, Belleau Wood, Tarawa, Omaha, or Midway are mentioned. It is a sad state of affairs.
