Not really any more so than in 7 or 8.1. The BSOD mention was because in the Insider preview versions, they've changed the BSOD color from blue to green.

Official releases will still use the classic blue.

Hmmm- i used windows 7 for many years- still using it and have never once had a BSOD- Now windows 98 was another story- plenty in that OS- Can’t remember if XP had them- don’t recall- only used XP a short while-
