Pulled the trigger too quickly. I was going to add:

Just because you fled your country in a boat doesn't make you a Navy veteran.

Given the age, I’d say one of the ones we took in during the 1990s as a child along with parents or orphaned “lost boys”.
And a large number of those young men chose after growing up in the US and getting citizenship to go back to Somalia to support Al Shabab or joined groups like ISIS and Boko Haram. The older men who fled their third world hell holes also sought to impose Shariah standards here in the US, like the Minneapolis cab drivers who refused to carry alcohol or seeing eye dogs while demanding prayer spaces and foot baths.
