It was obvious something was happening Sunday AM. Rand Paul was on a Sunday AM news show, in full support of President Trump. RP flat-out said that we'd be in far worse shape if McCain had ever become President.
Rand Paul doesn't like war. May I speculate that something definitive has been established that ties McCain to warmongering?
A gal can dream. My fondest dream would be a war crimes trial for McCain at the Hague, for delivering weapons to known terrorists in Syria. Or for him and some of his buddies being responsible for government overthrow in Kiev.

You make a good point. It is not every day that a sitting Senator from the same party goes on the Sunday news shows blasting another Senator of the same party. So maybe something is up.
