Full title: 'Texting during meals is the start of war,' says the Pope as he warns that the death of speaking to each other will have dire consequences for society
The Pope has warned young people that texting at the dinner table could be the first step on the path to war.
In an improvised speech at the Roma Tre public university, the pontiff warned against the death of face-to-face conversations.
He called on young people to get off their phones during family meals, saying it could have dire consequences for society.
Pope Francis said: 'When we're at the table, when we are speaking to others on our telephones, it's the start of war because there is no dialogue.'

Exactly. Texting during meals is verboten in our house. But it seems as if Pope Francis can make a hash out of anything he says.
Yeah, the problem with Hitler was that he was always texting at meals....
LOL!
Undermining traditional Roman Catholicism? Not a problem. Texting at meals? Signals World War 3. This guy’s going down in history as The Idiot Pope.
If you’re speaking to others on a telephone you’re having a dialogue with somebody.
Unless it’s with one of those people who never let you get a word in edgewise.
(You know who you are!)
And he just got through assuring us that Moslems don’t make wars. So Now we know that all the terrorism wars and violence in the world is caused by texting. We now have clarity (if not sanity, alas). Yippee.
This Pope is old enough to be senile. Time for some young blood.
That's why Rommel got "suicided" - he was texting-averse.
Is there nothing this man doesn’t comment on? Does he ever talk about Jesus?
Is there nothing this man doesn’t comment on? Does he ever talk about Jesus or,the godpel?
Francis and Soros
Sorry, but this Pope is a nut.
